Who we are

Spring City Consulting Group, Inc. is a Wisconsin-based holding company providing digital forensic examination, data recovery, managed technology, and wireless infrastructure services through four operating divisions. The forensic and expert witness practice featured on this site is led by the company’s founder, who has been court-qualified as a digital forensic expert in criminal and civil matters across multiple Wisconsin counties.

Operations began in 2005 as SCCT, LLC and were incorporated as Spring City Consulting Group, Inc. in 2008. The company is owned and operated from Waukesha, Wisconsin, and serves clients throughout Wisconsin and northern Illinois.

What we do

Our forensic engagements support attorneys, private investigators, and courts that need digital evidence examined, explained, and — when called for — defended on the stand. Work product is prepared from the outset with the expectation that it may be challenged: imaging and chain of custody are documented, findings are written in plain language with technical detail held to a peer-reviewable standard, and conclusions are tied directly to the artifacts that support them.

How we work

  • Independent. Testimony has been provided primarily on behalf of the defense; analysis is performed without regard to which outcome it favors.
  • Methodology-led. Tools and software are means to an end. The engagement is shaped by the legal and factual questions counsel needs answered, not by what a particular tool happens to output.
  • Documented. Every step from intake through final report is recorded so that any qualified reviewer can follow the work.
  • Defensible. Reports and exhibits are formatted for evidentiary use and are accompanied by qualifications, methodology, and source citation.

Operating divisions

The forensic practice is one of four operating divisions of Spring City Consulting Group, Inc.:

  • ITC Data Recovery — clean-room and chip-off data recovery (established 2006).
  • Spindletop Investigations — digital forensic examination and litigation support (joined 2014).
  • IT Connect — managed IT, network security, VoIP, and cloud (founded 2006).
  • Midwest WiFi Solutions — large-venue wireless network design and surveys.

See the Operating Divisions page for detail on each.
